Natural Disasters Vocabulary


A Natural Disaster is an event that is caused by the natural forces of the earth and results in great damage and possibly loss of life.

Paleo Graham Crackers



Ingredients:


Almond Flour-1 1/2 cups
Coconut Oil- 1/2 cup
Arrowroot Starch- 1 cup
Honey- 5 tbsp
Molasses - 2 tbsp
Baking Soda- 1 tsp
Salt- 1/2 tsp

Method:

1. Preheat oven to 350 F

2. In your stand mixer, add almond flour, arrowroot starch, baking soda and salt. And let it mix well.

3. Then add in coconut oil, honey and molasses and mix it well completely.

4. The mixture should look crumbly just like this.

5. Roll the crumbled dough into a ball.

6. Then spread it nice and flat in a baking sheet.

7. With the help of a pizza cutter or knife, roll out the graham cracker shape in the dough.

8. Poke some holes in the dough.

9. Bake it in a 350 F for 12 minutes.

10. After you get it out of the oven and while it is still hot, cut it into desired shapes and poke some holes for the second time.

11. Let it cool down completely. The longer they cool, the crunchy they will be.

Serve it cool and crunchy with tea.

Green Beans Rice




Ingredients:



Rice- 1 cup (Soak it in water for 30 minutes)
Green Beans- 1/2 cup chopped
Turmeric Powder- 1/4 tsp
Green Chilies- 2
Ginger - 1 tbsp minced


Cumin Seeds- 1/4 tsp
Bay Leaf- 1
Cinnamon- 1 inch
Cloves- 6
Cardamom- 1
Ghee- 1 tbsp


Method:

1. In your Instant Pot, push the Saute button.

2. Add Ghee and let it melt completely.

3. When the ghee gets hot enough, add cumin seeds, bay leaf, cinnamon stick, cloves, cardamom. And saute it until it releases the aroma.

4. Then add in ginger and green chilies and saute for a few seconds.

5. Now add in the green beans and saute it well in the oil for 2 minutes.

6. Add turmeric powder and saute well for a second.

7. Now add in the soaked rice and gently stir it with the rest of the ingredients .

8. Finally add salt and 2 cups of water and stir it well.

9. Then close the Instant Pot with a lid and make sure the pressure valve is on sealing.

10. In your instant Pot settings, push 'Cancel' and then push the 'Manual' button and set the timer to 10 minutes. And let the pressure release naturally.

Serve with Gravy or any Side Dish 😃
